Metal Cutting
Cape Town.

A precise starting point for your project.

YOUR COMPONENT. OUR FOCUS.

Metal Cutting, with the full project in mind.

Metal cutting prepares blanks and components for the next stage of manufacture. TUBAFLO accepts CAD drawings and CNC cutting enquiries alongside bending, rolling and welding requirements, so material preparation can be considered as part of the complete job.

Precision guillotine cutting — up to 3 metres

Our guillotine equipment accommodates large-format sheets for individual orders and production requirements.

Maximum mild steel sheet dimensions: 3,000 × 1,500 mm.

Confirmed stainless steel capability: 3,000 × 1,500 mm at 3 mm thickness. Stainless grades: 3CR12, 304 and 316, subject to material specifications and equipment limits.

How we approach the work

The drawing and stock requirements are reviewed first. The workshop confirms a suitable available cutting approach and agrees how the prepared components will be used or checked.

What to send for a quotation

Provide your CAD drawing or dimensioned PDF, material type, thickness, cut dimensions and quantity. Mark critical edges, tolerances and any allowance for later forming or joining. Include a layout if grain direction, orientation or material usage matters to your design.

Discuss your metal cutting project ↗

BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR BRIEF

Your questions, answered.

Can you help with CNC cutting?

Yes. Send your CAD drawing, material specification, thickness and quantity. CNC cutting requirements can be included in your project enquiry, with suitability, job size and the proposed cutting method confirmed during quotation.

Can you cut material for bending?

Include the finished bent drawing as well as any blank dimensions so the preparation can be assessed together.

What file should I send?

Send your CAD drawing in DXF, DWG, STEP or STP format, ideally with a dimensioned PDF showing units, tolerances and the drawing revision. A clear sketch or photograph can also start the discussion.
